Dubai Cares launches "Gaza In Our Hearts" Ramadan fundraising campaign

Dubai: Dubai Cares, in collaboration with the UAE community, initiates the "Gaza In Our Hearts" campaign, aiming to provide essential emergency relief to the people of Gaza during Ramadan. Recognizing the urgent need for support amidst dwindling supplies, the campaign seeks to channel the compassion of the UAE community into tangible assistance.

The campaign, an extension of the successful "Tarahum for Gaza" initiative, focuses on raising funds for critical emergency aid. All contributions will directly fund the delivery of hot meals, food baskets and essential waterproof, fire-resistant tents to those in need. To ensure swift and efficient aid distribution, Dubai Cares has partnered with Anera (American Near East Refugee Aid), an established humanitarian organization with extensive experience in the region.

Dr. Tariq Al Gurg, CEO and Vice-Chairman of Dubai Cares, emphasized the collective responsibility to address the worsening situation in Gaza. He highlighted the urgent need to alleviate hunger and suffering while fostering hope, resilience, and dignity among the affected population.

“With the conflict entering its sixth month, access to food and shelter has become critically low, leaving many Gazans facing severe food insecurity reaching catastrophic levels. Through the ‘Gaza In Our Hearts’ campaign, we are providing members of the community the opportunity to unite and respond to this urgent need with a sense of responsibility and empowerment”, said Dr. Tariq.
