Dubai has revealed a new campaign aimed at celebrating significant national occasions in the UAE. This initiative, which involves collaboration with 16 government, semi-government and private sector entities, will coincide with UAE Flag Day and the 53rd Eid Al Etihad (UAE National Day) celebrations. The campaign will run from November 3 to December 3.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council (DMC), emphasized that the campaign is designed to honor the founding fathers of the UAE, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum.

Fireworks Displays

Spectacular fireworks will light up the skies on December 2 and 3 at prominent locations such as JBR Beach, Al Seef, Hatta and Dubai Festival City Mall. Residents are also invited to Hatta for not just fireworks but also traditional folk dances and music performances. Additionally, fireworks will be showcased daily throughout the campaign at Dubai’s Global Village.

Seasonal Markets

Several seasonal markets will feature prominently during the festivities, including Beach Canteen, Ripe Market and Winter Wonderland. These markets will offer Emirati-themed activities, local cuisine and retail experiences, enhancing the celebratory atmosphere.

Union Day Parade

A vibrant ‘Union Day Parade’, organized in partnership with Watani Al Emarat, is set to take place at City Walk on December 2. This lively parade will celebrate Emirati culture with traditional dances and performances, creating a carnival-like atmosphere for families and visitors.

Cultural Events at Museums

The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority will host special events at key cultural sites, such as Hatta Heritage Village, inviting visitors to delve into the rich history and culture of the region. The Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood will feature diverse activities that reflect Dubai’s cultural heritage.

At the Al Shindagha Museum, the largest open-air heritage museum in the UAE, visitors can engage in theatrical and interactive performances that revive heritage houses, showcasing aspects of life in historical Dubai. The celebrations will combine traditional and innovative events that illustrate the UAE’s development journey.

Celebrations at the Etihad Museum

The Etihad Museum, a national landmark, will host special events focusing on the history of the UAE's Union. Attendees can participate in cultural events, including exhibitions and interactive displays that narrate the story of the UAE's founding.

Festivities at Dubai Airports

A designated area at Dubai Airports will host official Eid Al Etihad celebrations, with a maritime heritage theme. Visitors arriving at Dubai will be welcomed with traditional national songs, embodying the spirit of the celebrations. Additionally, various Emirati cultural events and traditional performances will take place, showcasing authentic customs, values, and the unique identity of the UAE.

This campaign promises a month filled with engaging activities and celebrations, inviting residents and visitors alike to partake in honoring the UAE's rich heritage and unity.
