Saudi Arabia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Abdulaziz Al-Wasil, held discussions with Aqeel Al-Ghamdi, assistant supervisor-general for planning and development affairs at KSrelief, in New York to address global humanitarian challenges and explore avenues for enhancing international relief efforts.

The meeting, reported by the Saudi Press Agency, highlighted Saudi Arabia's active role in global humanitarian initiatives. Ambassador Al-Wasil praised the impactful work of KSrelief, emphasizing its dedication to aiding vulnerable populations worldwide as a testament to the Kingdom’s humanitarian priorities.

In turn, Al-Ghamdi acknowledged the UN mission’s engagement in international events, underscoring its role in strengthening Saudi Arabia's position on the global stage.

Since its establishment in 2015, KSrelief has implemented 3,135 relief projects across 105 countries, amounting to over $7.1 billion in aid. These efforts, carried out in partnership with 458 local, regional and international organizations, address critical areas such as food security, health, education, water and sanitation, emergency response and logistics.
