According to Al-Arabiya.net, the fire broke out in a truck loaded with fodder that had been abandoned at the station by its driver after failing to extinguish the flames. Al-Dalbahi, who happened to stop at a nearby store on his way to his place, Al-Salihiya, noticed the blaze spreading rapidly. Despite the danger, he climbed into the burning vehicle and steered it away from the pumps, preventing a massive explosion.

The act of bravery left him with severe injuries. Relatives confirmed that Al-Dalbahi sustained first- and second-degree burns on his face, head and limbs. He was transferred to King Saud Medical City in Riyadh, where he remains under the care of specialized medical teams.

His courage has drawn wide praise on social media, where many described him as a true hero and a model of selflessness. The story also caught the attention of Deputy Emir of Riyadh Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman, who personally called Al-Dalbahi to check on his condition. The deputy emir instructed health authorities to provide the best possible treatment for the young man.
