Saudi Arabia and India explores new avenues of cooperation in culture and tourism following a meeting between Saudi Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan and Indian Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in Riyadh.

Held alongside the 26th session of the UN Tourism General Assembly, the discussion focused on strengthening cultural collaboration and identifying joint initiatives to promote heritage exchange and creative industries.

Shekhawat also met with tourism ministers from Sri Lanka, the Maldives and South Africa to expand multilateral engagement across the region.

He later wrote on X that India continues to expand tourism cooperation and cultural partnerships worldwide.

During the UN event, Shekhawat joined a dinner hosted by Saudi Tourism Minister Ahmed Al-Khateeb, which brought together several international delegates.

The Indian minister said, “Grateful for the warm hospitality and the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions on advancing global tourism cooperation".
