Saudi Arabia, Pakistan sign agreement to develop cricket stadium in Jeddah

The memorandum of understanding was signed between the Saudi Cricket Federation and the Pakistan Cricket Board in Riyadh on Wednesday.
Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Mohammed, Chairman of the Saudi Cricket Federation, and Pakistan’s Interior Minister and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi attended the signing ceremony.
The agreement covers the development of a modern stadium built to international standards, along with cooperation in technical expertise, facility planning and global operational practices.
The project is expected to strengthen cricket infrastructure in Saudi Arabia and improve the Kingdom’s ability to host international tournaments.
Prince Saud said the partnership represents a strategic move towards building a sustainable future for cricket in Saudi Arabia through better infrastructure, international cooperation and investment in the sports sector.
Naqvi said the agreement reflects strong cooperation between both sides and lays the groundwork for a long-term partnership in cricket development.
He added that the MoU will support the exchange of expertise and help create an integrated environment for staging international competitions, benefiting both Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
