Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa met with Saudi Education Minister Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan at Al-Sakhir Palace on Sunday, as the two nations reaffirmed their commitment to joint development projects in education and healthcare.

The meeting coincided with the signing of a key agreement to advance the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Medical City project, a major initiative being implemented by the Arabian Gulf University. The project signifies a significant collaboration between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia in enhancing medical education and healthcare infrastructure across the region.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, Al-Bunyan conveyed greetings and best wishes from King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, further strengthening its strategic relationship with Bahrain, especially in the education sector.

King Hamad welcomed the minister’s visit and reaffirmed Bahrain’s appreciation for the enduring partnership between the two nations. He expressed satisfaction with the progress of joint ventures, particularly the development of the medical city, which he described as a testament to the strong bilateral cooperation.

The agreement marks another milestone in Saudi-Bahraini relations, with both nations continuing to invest in shared goals for regional advancement in health and education.
