Riyadh: Saudi Arabia announced that it would launch the products made in the two holy cities with slogans "Made in Makkah" and "Made in Madinah" branded on them. Saudi's Minister of Industry and Mineral resources said that the initiative is primarily aimed at pilgrims to the two cities, Arab News reported.

On January 9, the minister Bandar Al-Khorayef said at the Hajj Expo 2023 in Jeddah that the quality of the products made in the holy cities will be raised to make them worthy. His ministry is cooperating with the Hajj and Umrah ministry to launch the said products as part of a programme termed "Made in Saudi", he said.

"Made in Saudi" was initiated in March 2021 and opened by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Al Khorayeg. The programme is a part of Saudi's Vision 2030.

Hajj Expo will be ending on January 12, and with that, some 400 agreements will be inked, which have the one objective of building a digital ecosystem to assist pilgrims.

The event will host more than 200 speakers and participants from across the globe. It will house ten keynote sessions, 13-panel discussions and Hajj dialogues, as well as 36 workshops. This will be under the supervision of Makkah Governor Prince Khaled Al-Faisal.

During the event, there will be discussions on the development of services for guests, including logistics, transportation, and crowd management. Further, housing and hospitality, catering, facility, service management, safety, healthcare etc.

The opening ceremony screened the visual presentation of the Kingdom's efforts in serving pilgrims.
