Saudi: Al-Faraj attends closing of Fire and Rescue Championship in Riyadh

Lieutenant General Dr. Hamoud bin Suleiman Al-Faraj, Director General of Civil Defense, attended the closing ceremony of the World Fire and Rescue Championship.
The event was held at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Sports City in Riyadh.
Alexander Chupriyan, President of the International Federation of Fire and Rescue Sports, also attended the ceremony. Heads of participating delegations were present.
Al-Faraj and Chupriyan crowned the Russian national team. The team won first place in both the men’s and women’s competitions.
Andrey Petrovich Kalinin, Executive President of the International Federation, said the championship achieved its goals.
He said it helped strengthen the firefighting and rescue profession internationally.
He added that it promoted the exchange of experience and knowledge among the participating countries.
At the end of the ceremony, Al-Faraj handed the championship flag to Azerbaijan. The flag was received by Yusif Yusifov, head of the Azerbaijani delegation. Azerbaijan will host the next edition of the championship.
