Riyadh hosts ‘Mark & Save Food Festival’ with up to 50% discount

The ‘Mark & Save Food Festival’ presented by Mark & Save in Saudi Arabia started last Wednesday at Exit 26 of Mark & Save Flamingo Park in Riyadh and will run until August 30. Organizers said the festival offers a unique experience that combines taste and entertainment with traditional Arabic cuisine, live cooking, and many exciting events.

The 70-seat food court features hot food items, Arabic snacks, bakery products and freshly prepared meals at discounts of up to 50 percent. Visitors can enjoy falooda, tin cakes, juices, fruit cuts, shawarma, shawai, broasted chicken, live tandoori, butter chicken, manakish, qubooz, donuts, cakes, Arabic desserts, basboosa, kunafa, awamat, bahalsham, baklava, as well as burgers, sandwiches, quick bites and a variety of dates.

As part of the festival, culinary demonstrations, competitions and family entertainment have also been arranged. Contest categories include chef’s challenge, muffin and cake decorating, cheese board decorating and Arabic traditional food, with winners receiving Mark & Save gift vouchers.

Saudi Operations Manager Anees Kakkat, General Manager Ashraf Thalappadi and Head Ashraf Putupalli said the festival highlights food, fun and community in one space.
