Riyadh: Columbus Kitchen hosts knife festival for Eid
text_fieldsColumbus Kitchen Riyadh is hosting its second knife festival to celebrate the Feast of Sacrifice. The event, inaugurated by Naushad Basheer, Chairman and Managing Director of Columbus Kitchen Equipment, began on June 8 and will continue until June 15.
The knife festival honours the Arabian custom of using a new knife for Eid sacrifices, a tradition that evokes the spirit of sacrifice. Columbus Kitchen has once again elaborately organized the festival, displaying a wide variety of knives from countries such as Switzerland, Italy, Portugal, Germany, Brazil, India and China. These knives are specifically designed for slaughtering sacrificial animals and cutting meat, with special types for skinning included.
Basheer noted that Saudis prefer new knives for Eid sacrifices, often purchasing them from different countries. This unique festival highlights Columbus Kitchen as a one-stop shop for kitchen supplies for homes, hotels or restaurants. The festival also features significant discounts on all kinds of kitchen machinery required for five-star hotels, restaurants, coffee shops, buffets, broasted shops, and butcheries. Offers on stationery, cleaning supplies, ceramic utensils and more are included.
Columbus Kitchen, a Meezan Al Rabea Trading Company subsidiary, has been operating in Riyadh for 21 years. Located near the Riyadh Jawazat office on King Fahd Road, it offers a wide range of kitchen appliances, catering equipment, home appliances, hospitality, baking and coffee shop equipment at competitive prices.
Basheer also announced the upcoming opening of a new store in Riyadh, which is set to be the largest provider of kitchen machinery and hospitality supplies in the GCC. This new venture aims to create job opportunities for both locals and foreigners and invest in various sectors.
