Riyadh: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has delivered 25 ambulances to the Ukrainian Ministry of Health. The delivery, effected in Rzeszów, Poland, is part of a larger commitment of 125 vehicles aimed at supporting Ukraine’s healthcare system. The ambulances will arrive in batches, with the vehicles prepared for entry into Ukraine via the Polish border. The aid was handed over to the Ukrainian authorities by the Director of KSrelief's Health and Environmental Aid Department Dr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Muallem. Present were Saudi Deputy Ambassador to Poland Mohammed Rashid Al-Hadithi.

This initiative is part of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing humanitarian and relief efforts, led by KSrelief, to support people affected by crises worldwide. The delivery of aid is accompanied by an airlift consisting of 21 aircraft carrying medical and shelter supplies, as well as electrical devices and generators. Additionally, Saudi Arabia has pledged a $400 million humanitarian aid package to Ukraine. This includes $100 million in humanitarian aid delivered through KSrelief and $300 million in oil derivatives financing, offered as a grant by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. KSrelief has also signed two agreements with the World Health Organization and UNHCR, providing $10 million in medical and shelter aid to Ukrainian refugees in neighbouring countries, particularly Poland. This brings Saudi Arabia's total support for Ukraine to $410 million.
