Hajj 2025: King Salman orders hosting of 1300 global pilgrims this year
text_fieldsKing Salman has issued a royal directive to host 1,300 male and female pilgrims from 100 countries as part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah and Visitation.
The initiative, overseen by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, will offer a spiritually enriching pilgrimage experience through a comprehensive plan that includes cultural, educational and religious components. Pilgrims will participate in visits to significant Islamic sites in Makkah and Madinah and engage with leading scholars and imams from the Two Holy Mosques.
Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs and program supervisor, Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Asheikh, expressed deep gratitude to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, calling the royal gesture a powerful reflection of the Kingdom’s dedication to Islamic unity and religious service.
The ministry has mobilised its full resources to ensure high-quality services for the pilgrims, spanning logistical, health, religious and cultural support from the point of nomination to their return home.
Al-Asheikh emphasized that the program—launched in 1996—has so far hosted nearly 65,000 pilgrims from 140 countries. It aims to strengthen ties with religious, scholarly, and intellectual leaders across the Muslim world while promoting dialogue and cultural exchange.
This year’s initiative further supports the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, particularly in its focus on Islamic solidarity and humanitarian outreach, enhancing the Kingdom’s influential role in global Islamic affairs.
