The online voting process for the final round of the 2023 She-Q Excellence Awards, given by Gulf Madhyamam, to honour the accomplishments of outstanding Indian women who have left a significant impact in Qatar, commenced on Saturday evening.

Residents of Qatar have the opportunity to cast their votes for the final round by visiting the website: https://www.sheqawards.com.

A total of 27 individuals and three women's organizations have entered to the final round, competing across 10 distinct categories.

To participate in the voting, those interested are to follow these steps: visit the website via the link provided, click on the 'Vote' option, and access the voting page by entering the OTP (One-Time Password) received after entering your Qatar mobile number.

In the voting page, one can cast the vote for one of the three finalists in each category.

The nomination phase, which commenced on July 20, has recently concluded, with nearly 1000 nominations received from across the 10 categories. From them, the finalists were short-listed after evaluation by a panel of experts.

The fields listed for consideration encompass a wide range of areas including arts and literature, entrepreneurship, teaching, environmental initiatives, volunteering, pharmacy, social service, sports, and nursing.

In a noteworthy addition this year, the She-Q awards will also recognize women's organizations that have excelled in their welfare activities.

For the 'She Impact' category, for which a sizeable number of nominations were received, three organizations - Nadumuttam Qatar, Kerala Women's Initiative Qatar (KWIQ), and CIGI Women Empowerment Meet, Doha - emerged as finalists.

The winners will be announced at a grand ceremony on September 22. The results will be based on a combination of online votes and-assessments made by the expert panel of judges.
