Gulf Madhyamam She Q Excellence Awards 2023 - only a day left to submit nominations

Doha: Nominations for the ‘She Q Excellence Awards’ presented by Gulf Madhyamam, which celebrate the achievements of exceptional Indian women in Qatar, end on Friday.

The first She Q Excellence Award, which received an overwhelming response from the expatriate community in Qatar, was presented last year and comes with a new twist this time.

The nomination process started on July 20 and will end on the night of September 1.

Around 1,000 applications have already been received across 11 categories in both Field and Open sections. The second edition of the She Q Excellence Awards introduces more categories and also includes contributions by Arab women.

Following the summer vacation, the nomination process for various categories has become more active in the last few days as expatriates returned. In addition to Indian expatriate women, Qataris of various nationalities are also being considered for the award in some categories.

Women's groups and associations active in the field of welfare activities among the diaspora will also be honoured with the She Q Excellence Award.

After nominations are scrutinized, the achievements of the individuals are evaluated by a panel of experts. The shortlisted winners in each category are then declared and the voting phase begins.

In the next stage, the public will have the opportunity to vote for the winners from among the finalists. Online voting will commence in the second week of September.

The winners of the She Q Excellence Awards 2023 will be announced at a grand ceremony in Doha at the end of September.

The Field category consists of eight awards, all of which can be nominated by the public. These awards are exclusively for non-resident Indian women.

-Care Q Award (Excellence in Nursing and palliative care activities)

-Pharma Q Award (For Excellence in Pharmacy)

-Sports and Adventure Q Award (Excellence in Sports and Adventure Sector)

-Heal Q Award (Excellence in Emergency Services)

-Kind Q Award (Contributions in the field of Expatriate Social Service)

- Biz Q Award (Expatriate Entrepreneurs)

- Fine Q Award (Excellence in Art and Culture)

Open Category welcomes nominations from all nationalities and includes three awards.

- She Q Empress Award: (Lifetime Achievement – without public nomination)

-She Q Princess Award (Youth Icon Award- without public nomination)

-She Q Impact Award: (Women's Organizations and Communities in Qatar)
