Damage to nuclear facilities from Israel war 'serious', considering seeking compensation: Iran

Iran has described the damage inflicted on its nuclear sites during the recent 12-day war with Israel as "serious," with officials now weighing the diplomatic and legal implications of the conflict.
Speaking to state television on Thursday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed that experts from the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran are conducting a detailed assessment of the impact.
“These damages are serious, and expert studies and political decision-making are underway at the same time,” he stated.
Araghchi also emphasised that the issue of seeking compensation for the destruction caused during the war is now a key item on Iran’s foreign policy agenda. “Now, the discussion of demanding damages and the necessity of providing them has been placed as one of the important issues on the country's diplomatic agenda,” he added.
The comments come amid heightened tensions in the region following U.S. military involvement in the conflict. President Donald Trump has previously claimed that U.S. airstrikes in support of Israel had "obliterated" Iran’s nuclear facilities.
