Bahrain inaugurates first mobile youth hostel
text_fieldsManama: His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty's Representative for Humanitarian Affairs and Youth Affairs, and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, inaugurated Rotels, the first mobile youth hostel.
Ayman bin Tawfiq Al Moayyed, the Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), and Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, the Minister of Youth Affairs, attended the inauguration.
Designed and built by Bahrainis over a four-month period, the mobile youth hostel includes six private capsule-style beds equipped with all necessary facilities and amenities for travel and adventure, offering utmost comfort and convenience.
HH Shaikh Nasser praised the creativity and innovation of Bahraini youth, supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Highlighting the significance of the mobile youth hostel as a distinctly Bahraini concept, His Highness emphasized Bahrain's role as an innovation hub.
He also highlighted Bahrain's cultural affinity with the Arab world, citing the people's enthusiasm for travel, adventure and cross-cultural learning.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa commended the efforts of Steel Masters, a national company led by young Bahrainis, for designing a modern mobile home that reflects Bahrain's culture, history and technological progress.
His Highness was briefed on the project's positive impact on Bahraini youth.
