Bahrain Chamber, Thai Delegation strengthen trade relations
text_fieldsTrade between Bahrain and Thailand rose 14 percent last year to reach USD 384 million, the Bahrain Chamber said.
The announcement came during a business networking event in Manama, where the Chamber hosted a Thai trade delegation to discuss new areas of cooperation.
Mohammed Al Kooheji, Second Vice Chairman of the Chamber, said the figures reflect growing economic ties between the two countries.
“This partnership continues to expand and offers strong potential for further growth", he said.
Delegates from both sides discussed opportunities in food, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, technology and real estate. The event aimed to convert those shared interests into concrete investment projects.
Thailand’s Ambassador to Bahrain, H.E. Sumate Chuljata, attended the meeting and thanked the Chamber for its continued support. He said this was the third Thai business delegation to visit Bahrain in 2024, showing a steady rise in mutual interest.
Bahrain Chamber officials Aref Hajres, Waleed Kanoo and Yousef Salahuddin also took part.
The meeting closed with a pledge to boost trade volumes and develop joint ventures across key industries.
