Amad Group Chairman Pambavasan Nair honored with Pravasi Bharatiya Excellence Award 2025 for humanitarian work

Mr. Pambavasan Nair, Chairman and Managing Director of Amad Group of Companies, received the Dr. Mangalam Swaminathan Pravasi Bharatiya Excellence Award 2025 for his extensive humanitarian work. The award, instituted by the Dr. Mangalam Swaminathan Foundation, recognizes individuals and institutions contributing to nation-building across social service, arts, science, journalism and medicine.

Mr. Nair earned recognition for his long-standing community service efforts that support families in distress. Through his CMN Trust, he provides housing for the homeless, educational and medical aid, and assistance with marriage expenses. More than 100 families currently receive monthly financial support through the trust.

One of his major initiatives, “A Home of Your Own”, launched in August 2024, aims to build 50 permanent homes for underprivileged families within five years. Twenty homes are already completed and handed over to beneficiaries.

The Foundation stated that Mr. Nair’s work reflects sustained commitment to social upliftment and community welfare. He is also the first expatriate to establish fully automated switchgear manufacturing facilities in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and has served the expatriate community for over three decades.

The annual Dr. Mangalam Swaminathan Excellence Awards carry a cash prize of ₹1,00,000 along with a memento and citation. Two special awards go each year to distinguished members of the Indian diaspora.

The 2025 award ceremony will take place on November 29 at the NDMC Convention Centre in New Delhi.
