NEET crisis caused by negligence of Central Govt, NTA: Fraternity Movement
cancel

Thiruvananthapuram: Fraternity Movement conducted a protest against the cancellation of the NEET examination.

Fraternity Movement State President Naeem Gafoor said that the cancellation of the NEET examination following the question paper leak was the result of serious negligence on the part of the Central Government and the National Testing Agency (NTA).

More than 22 lakh students across the country had prepared for years to write this examination, which has now been cancelled due to the leak of the question paper.

Even after a similar controversy involving a NEET question paper leak in 2024 led to massive protests across the country and intervention by the Supreme Court, the recurrence of a similar leak and controversy in 2026 raises serious questions about the credibility of the examination process.

According to him, NEET question papers are being made available in advance to private agencies, which they are then using for commercial gain. He demanded a comprehensive investigation into the conduct of the examination, the preparation of question papers, and the circumstances surrounding the leak.

Naeem Gafoor also stated that students who prepared for years and appeared for the examination are now facing severe anxiety following its cancellation. He demanded that authorities address the concerns of students and ensure that everyone involved in the question paper leak is brought to justice.
