Kottayam: Latheesha Ansari from Kerala, who was born with a rare bone disease, called Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI) passed away on Wednesday morning at Pala hospital.

The 27-year-old girl lived an inspirational life of hard work and determination despite all odds. Born with a rare genetic disorder, Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI) or brittle bone disease, she is no ordinary kid for her parents Ansari and Jameela. They carried her around everywhere and set no boundaries for her dreams.

Good at studies, she did complete her post-graduation from MES College in Erumeli and bagged a job at Erumeli Cooperative Bank which she had to eventually discontinue as she suffered from pulmonary hypertension.

However, in 2019 she travelled from Erumely in Kottayam to Thiruvananthapuram to write the UPSC examination with a portable oxygen concentrator.

"She has been unwell for a while and was admitted at the Pala hospital. She was a real fighter," says Latha Nair, founder of Amrithavarshini, a charitable society for OI, of which Latheesha was an active member, as reported by TNM.

Latheesha was also good at glass painting and playing the keyboard. She even did music shows on television. Latheesha also had a Youtube channel.
