Kerala BJP leaders murder: Court convicts 15 PFI activists

Alappuzha: In the murder case of BJP OBC Morcha State Secretary Advocate Ranjith Sreenivasan, a Kerala court found all 15 accused guilty. The Mavelikkara Additional Sessions Court, which observed so, will pronounce the sentence for those convicted on Monday.

Accused, one to eight were charged with murder. The remaining seven were accused of involving in the criminal conspiracy.

All the 15 accused in the case are Popular Front activists. On the morning of December 19, 2021, a group entered Sreenivasan's house in Alappuzha's Vellakinar and hacked Ranjit to death in front of his mother, wife and daughter. The case was that Ranjith Srinivasan was brutally murdered by a group which made a list of people to be killed when there was a counterattack when they killed the RSS activist Nandu in Vayalar.

On the night of December 18, 2021, SDPI State Secretary Advocate KS Shaan was killed by RSS workers. Ranjith's murder followed that. Of the 15 accused, 12 were directly involved in Ranjith's murder. The remaining three were involved in the conspiracy.

The first accused is Naizam, a native of Komalapuram. The 15 accused are Ajmal from Mannancheri, Anoop from Vattayal, Muhammad Aslam from Aryad South, Abdul Salam from Ponnad, Abdul Kalam from Mannancheri, Safaruddin Saleem from Mullath, Munshad and Jaseeb from Mannancheri, Navaz and Shemeer from Kalloopala and Naseer from Aryad North, Zakeer Hussain, Shaji Poovathungal and Shamnas Ashraf.
