Kerala: 3,423 samples test positive for Covid 19, 27 deaths

Thiruvananthapuram: With coronavirus case numbers on Monday seeing a lower trend as fewer samples get tested on a Sunday, Kerala registered 3,423 new infections from 34,847 samples.

In a statement issued here, state Health Minister K.K.Shailaja also said that the day saw 4,494 people turn negative, taking the number of cured to 6,45,779, while there were 60,504 active cases.

A total of 27 deaths were reported taking the death toll to 2,843.

Across the state, 2,80,375 people were under observation in various places which included 13,610 people in hospitals. The state had 457 hotspots.
