Kalluravi Ouf Murder: Accused confessed crime, claims police

Kasargod: The Kasargod police said that Irshad, the prime accused in the case of murder of Ouf Abdurrahman of Kalluravi, confessed that it was he who fatally stabbed the victim. Irshad was brought to Kanjangad from Mangalore, where he was undergoing treatment after getting injured in the clash. The police have nabbed all the accused in the case.
The post mortem report says that the death was due to a stab in the heart valve. The report also says that the sudden blood loss also caused the death.
Irshad, who is Kanjangad Municipal Secretary, was taken into custody on Thursday night from a private hospital in Mangalore.
IUML workers Ishaq, Hassan and Hashir were also taken into custody along with Irshad.
Ouf was killed in a clash with IUML workers at Kalluravi on Wednesday which saw tensed situation after recently concluded local polls.
