Fraternity Movement replicates 'Jantar Mantar' in Kochi
text_fieldsKochi: In the background of the Jantar Mantar protests against the Election Commissioner of India, the Fraternity Movement warned that it is a mere delusion if Narendra Modi and Amit Shah believe they can move forward by suppressing protests. Instead, the movement asserted, that the 'Jantar Mantar' style of agitation will spread across the country.
The Kerala branch of the Fraternity Movement organized this protest at Abdul Kalam Marg, Marine Drive, Ernakulam, to oppose the suppression—under conditions akin to the Emergency—of the student and youth protests in Delhi against vote theft.
The gathering voiced strong protest against the Sangh Parivar government for detaining and brutally assaulting student activists and leaders of various protesting organizations.
Welfare Party State President Razak Paleri inaugurated the event. Social activists and others who attended the event included Dr. Jinto John, Jolly Chirayath, Sunny M. Kapikad, Dr. T.S. Shyamkumar, Lali P.M., K.K. Baburaj, Sudhesh M. Raghu, and several others.
Various art performances were also staged at the event.
