Alappuzha: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday left Alappuzha without talking to the media when the mike of one of the TV channels brushed the body of Vijayan.

He was about to leave after chairing the two-hour high-level meeting to review the flood situation and relief operations in Kuttanad at Golden Jubilee Auditorium of Alappuzha Medical College on Sunday noon. The media then approached him and asked about the outcome of the review meeting.

Though Vijayan started to speak, the mike of one of the TV channels brushed his body in the rush.

Then an irritated CM entered his car without speaking anything and left the venue.

Speaking to the reporters, PWD Minister G Sudhakaran on Sunday said that the CM was about to address the media.

When the Chief Minister arrived at 10 am for attending on Sunday, he did not react to the questions of the media.

The review meeting of the CM hit headlines after opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala boycotted the meeting after the CM's office informed that Vijayan would not visit Kuttanad on Sunday.

The Chief Minister posted all of the details of the meeting on his Facebook page.

This is the not the first time the CM got angry with the media. Pinarayi Vijayan on November 17 last year was annoyed at the media when the channel reporters approached him for a sound byte on the war of words between the ruling partners, the CPM and the CPI.

When Vijayan arrived to attend a party meeting, the journalists gathered in front of him after he was seen with a smiling face.

They asked him about the issues between the CPM and CPI leaders following the resignation of the state transport Minister Thomas Chandy.

As he was addressing them, the mike of one of the TV channels brushed against Vijayan. He became angry and told the media to move away from his way.

On July 31, last year, the CM had harshly told the reporters to get out of a meeting venue in Thiruvananthapuram.
