Fake currency notes seized in Kondotty

Kondotty: Fake currency notes amounting to Rs 35,000 were seized from a woman at Kondotty in Malappuram.

Sources said she had come to the SBT branch of Kondotty to exchange old notes with new ones following the Central government’s decision withdrawing Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes.

However, the bank officials found that of the Rs 45,000 in her hand, currencies amounting to Rs 35,000 were counterfeit notes.
