Thalassery: A Vigilance court here has ordered a quick verification against Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and minister K Babu over a land deal related to the Kannur International Airport.
Thalassery Vigilance Court’s order came on Tuesday following a plea filed by one K V James seeking investigation into the irregularities in handing over the land and the illegal tree-felling at the project site.
The court has also ordered a quick verification against Jiji Thomson, Tom Jose, and KIAL MD G Chandramauli.
The petitioner has alleged that the government suffered a loss of crores of rupees due to the irregularities in the deal.
