date_range Vellappally has direct involvement in microfinance scam: Vigilance

Thiruvananthapuram: The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau in an FIR filed in the court has stated that SNDP general secretary Vellapally Natesan had direct involvement in the micro finance scam.
The Vigilance also said that it has obtained evidence against five persons including Vellapally who are facing allegations of corruption.
“The Rs 15.85 crore loan taken from Kerala State Backward Classes Development Corporation did not reach the real beneficiaries,” the FIR said.
It was also found that officials were involved in the conspiracy in the case.
