Muslim women facing discrimination: HC on triple talaq

Kochi: The Kerala High Court Friday observed Muslim women were facing discrimination in the name of triple talaq.

“Muslim women will get justice only if the marriage laws are unified,” Justice Muhammed Mushtaq said.

“A common law should also be introduced to deal with the divorce cases," the court said, adding that "it is wrong perception that the unified laws are against the Sharia law”.
