Notice issued against DYFI leader Riyas over domestic violence complaint

Kozhikode: A notice has been issued against DYFI central committee member Adv. P. A. Muhammed Riyas following a complaint by his wife for domestic violence.

The Fourth First Class Judicial Court here directed Riyas to be present at the court on Saturday.

Dr Sameeha, his wife, filed the complaint through Adv. M Somasundharan alleging mental and physical abuse by the DYFI leader.

The court, which gave an interim order to the police to provide protection to the complainant and her kids, will on Sep 19 consider her plea demanding maintenance to the children.
