Man killed in attack by mentally ill person

Shoranur: One person was killed and another injured in an unprovoked attack by a mentally disabled person at Shoranur railway station here Tuesday night.

The attacker, reportedly a migrant worker, turned violent around midnight and started attacking the travelers with an iron rod.

The identity of the deceased, w ho succumbed to injuries at a hospital here, is yet to be revealed.

The attacker was taken into custody by the Railway Protection Force from a train compartment.
