Lucknow: A special screening of the controversial film 'The Kerala Story' took place at Lok Bhavan in Uttar Pradesh, which was witnessed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and his ministerial colleagues.

Later, the Chief Minister commented that the alleged 'Love Jihad' is an agenda of 'undeclared terrorism' against humanity.

Lauding the director and producers of the film, Yogi said that the film sheds light on the conspiracy of 'love jihad' to the entire nation, urging the entire society to be aware of this distortion.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath affirmed that the Uttar Pradesh government has a "zero-tolerance" policy towards any "distortion" that undermines social unity, challenges national unity, or poses a threat to humanity.

He further added that the state government has implemented the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act in November 2020 to combat perversions like 'love jihad'. The law was first made as an ordinance and later duly enacted.

According to official records, 433 cases have been registered under this law since its implementation. 1,471 accused have faced action, including 1,229 accused named in these cases and 242 accused discovered during the investigation.

855 arrests have been made, and 339 charge sheets have been sent to the court. 184 victims have confessed before the court that they were forcibly converted, and 66 of these cases involve minors.
