Balia (UP): Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav Prime Minister Narendra Modi forgets many in his own side whose careers were rooted were rooted nepotism. He told NDTV that people might not have talked about Modi's family, but it does not mean he is not family-oriented. Yadav was responding to PM Modi's Bali speech, which accused Yadav of making a career out of sheer nepotism.

Yadav asked how the son of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, "PM's second in command", got into the world of cricket. Shah's son Jay Shah is the Indian cricket board BCCI's Secretary. Yadav also said that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Yogi Adityanath would not have been the chief of the Gorakhpur Mutt if his uncle wasn't there.

Yadav said that MP Jyotiraditya Scindia became MP because two of his aunts were in BJP, while Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai had the backing of his father. The PM had forgotten to notice these facts while he gave his speech, Yadav said.

During the campaign for the seven phased elections in UP, set to end on Monday, the BJP has framed Akhilesh Yadav as an ineffective CM and was backed by the privileges of being the son of former CM Mulayam Singh Yadav, NDTV reported.

BJP had often claimed that the Adityanath government had gotten the state rid of crimes. But to that, Yadav said that as per the NCRB (National Crime Records Bureau), UP stands first for unsafe and unprotected women, fake encounters and custodial death. An IPS officer was killed in action, and a businessman in Gorakhpur was killed because of extortion. He wondered what law and order BJP is singing about in campaigns.

While the PM was ranting about crime and kidnappings before Adityanath's government, a child was kidnapped in Agra and killed because its father couldn't pay the ransom, Yadav claimed.
