New Delhi: Following the Supreme Court closing proceedings on their plea, protesting wrestlers in New Delhi formed two committees on Friday to advise them on the future course of action in their battle against outgoing Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brijbhushan Sharan Singh, PTI reported.

They invited farmers and women's organisations to join their advisory committees.

"Today, we made two committees -- one is a 31-member committee, and the second is a nine-member one. Khap panchayat, farmers and women organisations are part of the 31-member committee. The nine-member committee will decide on wrestling," said Bajrang Punia.

After Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur asked the grapplers to have faith in the system, Punia said on Friday, "I request the sports minister to come and stand on the side of truth."

"We will restart our fight, maybe by going to the high court. This fight is not restricted to three wrestlers," he said.

Delhi Police have started restricting more wrestlers' entry to the protesting site, and this allowed only a few farmers to join them on the day.

Bajrang Punia then told PTI, "It feels like we are in prison. There are barricades on all sides. The police are also misleading our supporters. So many are sitting on the Delhi borders." "Our legal team and the mentors are still discussing the next move. We will let you know once we finalise something."

When the top court on Thursday closed proceedings on the women grapplers' petition, it noted that their prayer for an FIR had been answered. However, they said the court was not a setback for them.

Regarding the case, the police have registered two FIRs, including one on POCSO Act, against the accused BJP leader Singh.

The wrestlers, who alleged that police personnel misbehaved with them on Wednesday night, have threatened to return the awards the government has bestowed on them in the past.

Alleging that police had misbehaved with them on Wednesday, the grapplers stated that they would return the awards the government has bestowed them in the past. Wrestling coach Mahvir Phogat, Vinesh Phogat's uncle, Dronacharya awardee and face of the protest, also made a similar statement.

The WFI chief faces grave allegations and deserves to be action taken against and arrested, Mahavir, who had joined BJP around three years ago, said.

Meanwhile, former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly and ex-BCCI president said he would not like to comment on the issue and maintained that he "doesn't have complete knowledge" about it.
