Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's participation in a recent Iftar party, where he was captured on video offering Maghrib Namaz alongside Muslim attendees, has sparked discussions on social media platforms.

The event was part of his 'Memanta Siddham' ('we are all ready') election campaign bus tour, where he has been engaging with communities across the state.

The Chief Minister resumed his state-wide canvassing tour after a brief hiatus, visiting numerous villages and towns along the way. From Sanjeevapuram to Chikatimanipalle, Reddy's journey has taken him through various districts, including Sri Satyasai, Batthulapalli, Mudigubba, and Kadiri. Despite refraining from public addresses until Kadiri, his presence has been marked by interactions with residents and community leaders.

With the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections of Andhra Pradesh scheduled for May 13, Reddy's campaign efforts have intensified. His 21-day bus tour, spanning from Idupulupaya to Icchapuram, aims to connect with voters from all walks of life. The upcoming elections hold significant importance for the state, with 175 Assembly seats and 25 Lok Sabha seats up for contention.

Reddy's gesture at the Iftar party has been met with mixed reactions, with some commending his inclusive approach while others raising questions about the intersection of religion and politics.

As the campaign trail progresses, Reddy's outreach efforts are expected to continue, with plans for public meetings and interactions in various districts. The outcome of the elections on June 4 will ultimately shape the future trajectory of Andhra Pradesh, making each campaign event crucial in influencing voter sentiments and political outcomes.
