New Delhi: The US administration informed the Mumbai Police that the younger brother of Lawrence Bishnoi, the 25-year-old Anmol Bishnoi, is present in their country, The Indian Express reported.

It is learnt that after the US intel, the Mumbai Police commenced the process of seeking Anmol’s extradition, and the Crime Branch approached a Mumbai special court over the matter last month.

TIE was told by a senior official that Mumbai Police submitted before the court on October 16th that they wanted to initiate Anmol’s extradition over the Salman Khan’s house firing case. It is alleged that Anmol initiated the firing at Khan’s house in April, along with other major operations, after Lawrence was lodged behind bars.

It is also alleged that Anmol has hands in the recent murder of NCP (Ajith Pawar) leader and former MLA Baba Sidique. Anmol had spoken to the accused, who fired at the leader, it is alleged.

It was only last week the National Investigation Agency announced a bounty of Rs 10 lakh on Anmol, saying that the fugitive Bishnoi brother has 18 cases registered against him, including alleged aid to the accused in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala in 2022.

TIE learned from another official that in the Salman Khan case chargesheet, Anmol was identified as a wanted accused, and a Red Corner Notice (RCN) was issued against him. However, there is no clarity on whether Anmol is currently detained by US authorities or whether his possible location within the country has been traced.
