Three-day JIH members meet concludes with call for dedication to a just society

Hyderabad: Concluding the three-day national conference of the members of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind held at Wadi-e-Hadi, Hyderabad, Syed Saadatullah Husaini, Ameer (President) of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, urged members to rededicate themselves to the principles of truth, justice, and the service of religion in building a just society.

The conference, based on the theme of 'Justice and Equity,' gathered members from across the country and aimed to inspire and guide participants towards the establishment of social justice and the eradication of injustice and exploitation.

Ameer highlighted the significance of the sacred pledge made upon joining the organization, reminding the attendees that true faith demands not only a personal commitment to belief but also a responsibility to spread the light of faith to their surroundings.

"True adherence to faith means we must not only strengthen our own belief but also enlighten our environment with the light of faith," Husaini emphasized.

He further underscored the importance of self-accountability, personal purification, and spiritual development to positively impact one’s environment. The Ameer also called for unity among members and cautioned against distractions arising from trivial issues that could detract from higher objectives.

On the final day, local and regional leaders shared their successful organizational experiences and social initiatives with the attendees. Maulana Rizvi Islam Nadwi delivered a talk on the importance of moderation in theological and sectarian matters, providing valuable guidance on maintaining a balanced approach in the face of societal challenges.

The event also featured discussions on a variety of social, educational, economic, ethical, and spiritual topics. A special exhibition, the IDRAK Tahreek Showcase, displayed over 100 successful community and social development projects from across the country, highlighting the positive impact of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind’s initiatives.

The conference passed comprehensive resolutions on some of the critical national, community, and international Issues confronting the nation and the world. The three-day event, which drew together 15,000 JIH members, also covered areas such as spirituality, interfaith dialogue, human rights, academia, healthcare, and education.

Abdul Jabbar Siddiqui, the convener of the event, delivered the closing remarks, thanking participants, local authorities, and police for their cooperation in ensuring the smooth conduct of the gathering. He also expressed his appreciation to the over 1,500 volunteers who contributed their services to the event’s success.

Throughout the gathering, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind members reaffirmed their commitment to using their resources to eliminate injustice and exploitation and work towards the realization of social justice in India.
