BJP ally Nitish Kumar demands probe into Pegasus snooping
text_fieldsPatna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday demanded an investigation into the Pegasus spyware scandal, as reported by NDTV.
"There has been talking of telephone tapping for so many days... The issue is being raised in parliament and there are news reports in the media... So definitely it should be discussed and looked into... the whole thing should be made public," the Chief Minister told reporters on Monday.
The statement from BJP ally Nitish Kumar comes at a time when the government has given a statement in parliament, saying no illegal interception has been done.
Also, there has been no discussion in either house of parliament, though the opposition parties have been jointly demanding a discussion on the issue in the Monsoon Session.
