BJP President JP Nadda launched the Parivartan Yatra ahead of the legislative elections in West Bengal on Saturday. The Yatra that started from Nabadwip in Nadia district is among the several Rath Yatras to be conducted by the party across the state as part of its electoral campaign.

The national leader said that the people have decided to bid goodbye to Mamata's government in the upcoming elections. He also raised allegations of corruption in the relief fund of the Amphan cyclone. The BJP leader mocked that the Trinamool's slogan of 'Maa, Mati, Manush' has degraded to 'Dictatorship, Extortion and Appeasement'.

Nadda also dug on Mamata's refusal to celebrate Subash Chandra Bose's birth anniversary in the prime minister's presence as Jai Shri Ram sloganeering ensued.

"Why does she hate 'Jai Shri Ram' slogan so much? Is it wrong to connect with the culture of one's own country? They (the TMC) want to negate the country's culture for the sake of vote-bank politics," Nadda said.

Trying to reverse the insider-outsider binary put forth by Mamata to counter the BJP as 'outsiders', Nadda announced that the party shall work to protect Bengal culture and create its progress.

"The Mamata Banerjee government has politicised the administration, criminalised the police and institutionalised corruption," he alleged.
