Delhi: A Kashmiri Muslim woman in South Delhi has accused that her landlady trespassed into and vandalized her apartment and called her friends and her, a terrorist. On October 14, Noor Bhat, a 22-year-old woman from Srinagar took to Twitter and narrated her ordeal alleging that her landlady and a man entered her place, broke their furniture and as well as called them a terrorist for being a Kashmiri.

She further tweeted that the landlady also accused them of stealing furniture which was taken away from their absence and that the whole incident took place in front of a Delhi police official.

Noor had also shared a picture of the accused and claimed that the landlady threatened her of burning her face with the cigarette she was smoking. The landlady, according to Noor, also grabbed her by her shoulder and inflicted injuries on her body and pulled her by her hair. "I was deeply hurt by this behaviour," she said alleging, "It looked like a hate crime."

According to the report from The Kashmir Walla, the Delhi Police has now registered a case under sections 448, 380, 457, 323, and 509 of Indian Penal Code on the complaint made by Noor.

Several netizens have retweeted the incident and came in support to help her with legal actions and accommodations.
