Job for sex case: 20 women taken to taken to ex-Andaman & Nicobar Chief Secy's Home
text_fieldsPort Blair: A shocking revelation today said that over 20 women were allegedly taken to the residence of Andaman & Nicobar (A&N) Islands chief secretary, Jitendra Narain offering jobs in lieu of sexual favours, according to The Indian Express.
Meanwhile, the A&N Police and a Special Investigation Team (SIT), while investigating a 21-year-old woman's allegations of sexual assault and gangrape against Jitendra Narain, and Labour Commissioner RL Rishi, found evidence of alleged "job-for-sex" racket.
The report said that some of the women are said to have got jobs in lieu of being sexually assaulted during the tenure of Narain.
Meanwhile, Narain is to be appearing before the SIT today as he has been directed by the Calcutta High Court as the deadline for his appearance.
As per the report, the phone call records and tower locations of phones of the two suspended bureaucrats matched with the sequences events as described by the 21-year-old victim.
More evidences say that the hard disk of the CCTV camera at Narain's residence had been erased and the DVR has been removed when the official was transferred from Port Blair to Delhi in July.
Narain denied allegations in writing to the Home Ministry and the A&N administration saying that there was a conspiracy against him.
He claimed that he had "specific materials which demonstrate the fake nature of the case."
Narain who was suspended from job on 17 October following direction of the Home Minister, is currently on bail until 14 November.
Rishi, alongside being suspended, is facing a non-bailable warrant against him.
Narain was suspended on 17 October at the direction of the Home Ministry and is currently on interim bail till 14 November. Rishi had also been suspended and a non-bailable warrant was issued against him.
