New Delhi: Regarding BJP ex-spokesperson Nupur Sharma's insult to Prophet Mohammed, the Supreme Court transferred the FIRs against her in different states to Delhi, The Indian Express reported.

The FIRs were clubbed and transferred to the Delhi Police for investigation. However, the temporary immunity she was granted over an arrest will continue till the probe is done.

Last month, the top court directed the police not to take coercive action against Sharma till the next date hearing on the complaints filed against her. The court also said that it did not want Sharma to visit every court for relief on the hate speech cases.

The bench of Justices Surya Kant and J B Pardiwala said that in the light of the subsequent events, the Supreme Court's concern is on ensuring that the petitioner is able to seek alternate remedy. ". In order to explore such modality, we issue notice," TIE quotes the court.

On July 1, the same bench rejected her plea saying that she had a "loose tongue" and was "single-handedly responsible for what is happening in the country." The court had said that the Udaipur incident was because of her remarks.

After that, Sharma requested the court to withdraw the plea instead of having it dismissed, and the bench allowed the same and offered her the liberty to avail her of alternate remedies.

Nupur Sharma filed a fresh application on July 18 seeking protection from arrest and clubbing of cases against her.

On July 18, Sharma filed another case, seeking protection from arrest as well as clubbing of the cases against her.
