Hyderabad: A six-month-old boy, Ramu, died at Crayons Hospital in Bandlaguda Jagir on February 21 amid claims of medical negligence, as parents allege he received an expired Adrenaline Bitartrate injection for persistent fever, reported Siasat.com.

The family had treated Ramu at the same Sun City facility days earlier, with recovery. This time, he deteriorated post-injection. Parents showed photos of a strip with four vials—two used—expired January 19, 2026. Experts note the drug boosts heart rate in emergencies.

Locals stormed the hospital demanding accountability, prompting Rajendranagar Police intervention. Doctors denied providing the vials, claiming medications are fully administered on-site. SI K. Raghavender noted crowd access post-death muddies evidence.

Bandlaguda police filed an FIR against the doctor under BNS Section 106(1) for negligent death (up to 5 years jail and fine). They await post-mortem and FSL reports to confirm the cause.
