Husband of RJD leader found stabbed in Bihar's Samastipur

Rashtriya Janata Dal leader and Rewa panchayat Sarpanch candidate Hema Rai's husband Srikrishna Rai was stabbed to death in Bihar's Samastipur district on Sunday.

Rai had gone for a morning walk in the village. Villagers later found his body in a field outside Sihiyahi, his native village, which falls under the Khanpur police station. Angry villagers put his body on Rebra Chowk at Samastipur-Gudarghatmain road and blocked the road for over 3 hours.

"We have registered an FIR as per the statement given by the deceased's wife, Hema Rai. She suspects her husband was killed due to political rivalry. We have names of some suspects. They will be questioned soon," said SC Mishra, investigating officer of the case.
