Prayagraj: Claiming that there is a decline in the Hindu birth rate, the far right-wing Hindutva organisation Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) demanded on Saturday that every Hindu family must have at least three children.
Speaking at the Virat Sant Sammelan organised here, VHP's Central General Secretary Bajrang Lal Bangra said, "The declining birth rate of Hindus has caused an imbalance in the Hindu population in the country. The revered saints of the Hindu society have called for at least three children to be born in every Hindu family."
He claimed in the meeting that Hindus are being targeted in India just like they are being continuously persecuted in a planned manner in Bangladesh.
He said that the Centre is working on a law to limit the autocratic and unlimited rights of the Waqf Board.
“In India, too, some elements are threatening Hindus to create a situation like Bangladesh. Hindus in the country should think deeply about this subject. The central government is bringing a law reform act to limit the autocratic and unlimited rights of the Waqf Board,” Bangra said.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who attended the event, said that After Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, now the dream of Mathura and Kashi is going to be realised, he said. He said that the Sanatan tradition of India is visible in this Maha Kumbh, which the whole world can see.
He claimed on Saturday that the country would be strong if Sanatan dharma was strong, but only when Santan dharma was strong. He was speaking with News18 in an interview.
“…if Sanatan dharma is strong, then our country will be strong…," the BJP CM of UP said, reports PTI.
He also accused the opposition parties, claiming that they wanted to divide the country on caste-religious lines for their own political interests.
