Heavy rains hit Mumbai hard, landslide reported

On Tuesday morning a landslide was reported in Ghatkopar's Panchsheel Nagar, leaving a house badly damaged in the aftermath.
Mumbai Fire Brigade said there was no casualties as they reached the spot.
Rains and waterlogging slowed down traffic with vehicles creating tailbacks stretching along the busy streets in several places.
Mumbai has recorded 95.81mm of rain in the last 12 hours, throwing off the gear life in the commercial capital of India.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted the city and its suburbs will see heavy rain over the next 24 hours, with a possibility of very heavy showers at isolated places.
Swollen rivers including Amba, Savitri, Patalganga, Ulhas and Garhi are nudging at the warning levels, with the Kundalika River in particular has crossed the warning level
Rains have not yet affected train services with the Central railway informing the trains on all corridors are running; however, some main and harbour line trains are running late, according to The Times of India.
Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde asked officials to get the rescue squads ready and watch the emerging situations.
Pictures from news agency ANI showed flooding on the roads of Sion, and people wadding through waters in Andheri, Ghatkopar, Chembur and Panvel, according to NDTV.
Although trains are being plied across lines, flooding affected buses with many of them bypassing waterlogged low-lying areas.
Official said that five National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams have been deployed in the city in the wake of the alert issued by the Weather Department, according to the report.
