The Haryana unit of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has launched a special helpline in a move to provide assistance to the Hindu community to fight against the anti-national forces who are trying to weaken the country, Indian Express (IE) reported.

The Haryana unit of the VHP made the declaration on Friday in Gurugram and released a helpline number for all districts of the state. Bajrang Dal members also attended the meeting.

Terming that self-defense is a right of everyone, the members said that they will help Hindus, who receive threats, to procure arms licenses.

"If anyone receives a threat, we will speak to the administration and ask them to provide the license for a weapon. We will provide them counsel on how to procure an arms license. Everything will be done within the confines of the law," said Pawan Kumar, President, of VHP Haryana, was quoted as saying by IE.

Meanwhile, the outfit's media coordinator Anuraj Kulshreshtha remarked that the attack on business establishments, religious extremism, and target killing of Hindus will no longer be tolerated.

He further added that if anybody feels threatened regarding land jihad, love jihad, hate speech, threats or disrespect to Hindu gods or rituals, they can call the helpline number 972 8642 702.

VHP Haryana members noted that it was imperative to release a helpline to the Hindu community in wake of recent incidents such as the murder of a tailor, Kanhaiya Lal, in Udaipur and the rising 'religious fundamentalism of jihadist forces.'

He noted that incidents such as people offering bounties of crores and threatening Nupur Sharma, and posters insulting Hindu deities being shared are not acceptable and stressed that the Hindu society will not be quiet.

If any Jihadi threatens or harasses our Hindu brothers, we will file FIRs against these people and seek legal action and remedies. If anyone posts any objectionable post on social media, we will get a complaint lodged. We will not take the law into our hands. The message must go out that the Hindu community is united and it stands with every Hindu," added Kumar.
