Give us a chance, we will do what Nitish Kumar could not in 15 years: Tejashwi Yadav

RJD leader Thejashwi Yadav appealed that what the chief minister Nitish Kumar couldn't achieve in 15 years can be done by him if he is given a chance. He sharpened his attack by stating that Nitish Kumar will bid farewell, and it is evident that he was not able to do anything to make Bihar a better place.

"There are only 77 police officers per lakh population in Bihar, even Manipur has a bigger number than that. And the job vacancies in education, health, law and order sectors are still unfilled" Yadav said. "We are asking the public to give us a chance, so we can do what the chief minister couldn't achieve in 15 years. Nitish Kumar's exit is guaranteed, and it is a grand alliance (Mahagathbandan) Sarkar is going to rule".

Yadav also hit out on mocking his cricket career, "Being such an experienced politician, how can he talk like that?" he said. "Can we not come into politics from cricket and films? Does he mean that doctors, engineers can't come either?"

"I had learned leadership, sportsman spirit and teamwork through cricket", he added.

Yadav had a brief stint as a cricketer and has played state-level cricket. He was also a member of the Delhi Indian Premier League team before joining politics.

The 31-year-old Yadav is leading RJD after his father Lalu Prasad Yadav has been jailed on the corruption case. He is the contestant as the chief minister with the support of both the left and Congress.
