"We felt insulted": Shinde accuses Uddhav Thackery of neglect

New Delhi: Maharashtra minister Eknath Shinde has the Shiv Sena-led government in tatters.

The rebel leader is now hosting the lawmakers backing him at a hotel in Assam's Guwahati, reports say.

A picture emerged today showed him addressing lawmakers at a plush hotel room.

He reportedly told the rebel lawmakers that one big national party lauded him for his "historic decision" offering all support.

Eknath Shinde was alluding to the BJP when he said one big national party.

Also, there are hints in media that BJP was backing his rebellion to topple the Shiv Sena-led government in Maharashtra.

The Shiv Sena leader emerged ominously shaking up the Uddhav Thackeray administration after the MLC election results.

He had a bunch of lawmakers housed in Surat hotel giving rise to a political crisis in Maharashtra.

He is currently camping in Assam's Guwahati with a group of Sena MLAs and independent legislators.

Shinde last night tweeted a three-page letter expressing " the sentiments of MLAs".

The letter said people around the Chief Minister hardly allowed dissenting lawmakers to meet him at his residence and "We felt insulted" it said.

The letter blamed that the Chief Minister was never available in the Secretariat instead he used to be at Thackeray's residence Matoshree.

Mentioning the Ram Mandir issue in the letter Shinde asked why the Shiv Sena stopped going to Ayodhya during Aaditya Thackeray's visit, despite Hindutva and Ram Mandir are crucial to the party, according to India Today.
